Street Food

Khao San Road Offers plenty of Street Food choices. They are so cheap that one can Live off P500 Pesos a day easy! You're also eating healthy as local Thai food almost always include veggies, like this veggie spring rolls! The food was just amazing. Never had a single burger or slice of pizza the whole month.

Khao San Road: The Backpacker's Ghetto


Khao San Road, Bangkok: This is known as the Backpacker's Ghetto. Where backpackers from all around the world try to "settle in" as this street is lined with Budget Hostels, restaurants, Bars and Street Food everywhere. A perfect place for a backpacker on a tight budget.

Get up and Go

Working on cruise ships is the fastest way to visit a lot of places in a short period of time. The disappointing thing about it is you can stay at the countries you visit only a few hours, which depend on how long your lunch break is. Frustrated, I decided to travel independently for the first time, (first time I booked a flight myself) and stay in Thailand for a month to really get to breathe in the place. What followed is a great adventure of trying to live off with only a 40 Liter backpack with you, a tight budget and a few pieces of clothing. See my backpack yes. That's all I had.

Most countries that can be visited by Filipinos without a needing a visa (visas usually cost tons of cash and a lot of paperwork) allow Filipinos to stay 30days.
